Program Overview
In its eighth year, the CA Program is designed specifically to assist new employees in their transition from school to work. We are seeking outstanding seniors and recent college graduates who are looking for a broad introduction to business with particular emphasis on marketing and finance.

Each year, we hire a team of 4-6 Corporate Associates (CAs) who complete a rigorous 6-month training program before accepting a permanent position with the company.

This year, the program will begin on June 23, 2008. After a week-long orientation, the CAs will be placed in one of the company's business units (Marketing & Communications, Industry Analysis, E-Commerce, and Client Relationship Management/Sales). In each rotation, you will be getting a hands-on learning experience while also learning more about the credit union industry. Throughout the program, you will receive guidance from previous program graduates.

Callahan and Associates' CA Program is designed so that you will learn both the 'hard' skills (technical, software) and the 'soft' skills (industry knowledge, customer service) that are necessary to be a successful, permanent employee. Your time in the program will include completion of defined goals, and CAs are expected to demonstrate independence and initiative in accomplishing these. Your contribution, whether as a member of a team or leader of a project, will have a measurable impact on the success of the company and will be recognized and rewarded by your peers and the management.

In addition, you will work on a team project with your fellow CAs for presentation to the senior management team. These projects are intended to move the company forward in an area where we have identified an opportunity but need structure and resources to accomplish the goal.

Career Development
The CA program is designed to equip participants with the skills they need to be successful within the company and at their next career destination. We encourage CAs to develop their careers within Callahan by continually evaluating their skills and interests. Often, CAs find themselves still "rotating" a year after the program ends, as they explore new opportunities to grow within different departments.

Program graduates have also found success attending graduate school (including business, law, and comparative literature), and the program is designed to equip you with the skills to be successful at whatever path you choose.

Benefits
Corporate Associates receive all the benefits of full-time employees at Callahan. Compensation starts at an annual salary of $38,000. Your first salary review will be on January 1st, 2009. Learn more about our benefits.
