Accountant (Part-Time Opportunity)

Callahan & Associates, a well-respected and national credit union research and consulting firm based in Washington DC, is recruiting a part-time accountant to perform full scope, hands-on accounting functions.

The part-time Accountant will work 15-20 hours a week and be responsible for daily accounting entries and deposit of all checks; processing of credit card transactions; preparing and overseeing collection of all accounts receivables; weekly processing of invoices and other payables; and maintaining all supporting files.

This position reconciles and maintains all bank accounts and other company records, such as: accounts receivables, accounts payables and the fixed asset schedule; prepares and publishes monthly financial statements; and manages our twice-a-month payroll processing.

We seek an accurate, detailed-oriented accounting professional with excellent organizational, communication and financial management skills. Bachelor’s degree and experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting required. Familiarity with Peachtree small business software and MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint needed. The ability to be flexible to meet deadlines, maintain accurate records for all clients, and ensure daily completion and update of records are essential.

Sales/Client Relationships Professional

Callahan & Associates, a well-respected and national credit union research and consulting firm based in Washington DC, is recruiting a Sales/Client Relationships Professional with the drive to succeed and the ability to be a productive and positive member of our team.

The Sales/Client Relationships Professional will bring the knowledge of product lifecycles and the sales/marketing techniques to expand our client base and sell our exciting benchmarking tools.

This position will also design and implement lead generation lists from existing and potential client relationships; coordinate with the marketing team to create promotions for distribution through multiple channels and media; provide client support for products, to include: answering questions and driving usage; analyze internal and external client information to increase sales and customer service; and identify new market opportunities and solutions.

We seek a dynamic and focused individual with 2+ years of proven sales experience. Solid background in building and maintaining client relationships needed. Experience in software sales and retail financial services a plus. Our successful candidate has the interest to work in an entrepreneurial environment with the talent and skills needed to meet goals and objectives.
